Dilip Shah Metrology Engineer, Chief Subject Matter Expert
Dilip Shah (ASQ Senior Member) has more than 25 years of industry experience in metrology, electronics, instrumentation, measurement and computer applications of statistics in the Quality Assurance areas. He is well versed in all measurement parameters. He has been employed in various positions with Phillips Electronics (UK), Kodak Ltd. (UK), Instruments Division of Monsanto Corporation, Flexsys America and Alpha Technologies. He is currently a Principal of E = mc3 Solutions, a consulting practice that provides training and consulting solutions in ISO9000/TS 16949, ISO17025, measurement and computer applications.
Dilip is certified by American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Calibration Technician. Dilip volunteers his time with the local Akron-Canton (Ohio) ASQ section where he was the past chairman (2001-2002). Dilip has been a member of the advisory board of the University of Akron Engineering and Science Technology Division since 1988. Dilip also belongs to the Statistics, Automotive, Inspection, Quality Audit and Measurement Quality Divisions (Chair 2003-2005 year) of American Society for Quality. Dilip is the co-author of The Metrology Handbook published by the ASQ Quality Press. Dilip participated in the development of ASQ’s Certified Calibration Technician exam. Dilip participates actively in the measurement related issues through NCSLI (National Conference of Standards Laboratories International) and the west coast based Measurement Science Conference (MSC) where he presents sessions, papers and workshops. Dilip also is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers). Dilip is the recipient of MQD’s 2005 Max J. Unis Award and co-recipient of 2003 MSC’s Algie Lance Award for the best Paper (Gage R.& R versus ANOVA). Dilip is also serving a 3-year term on the A2LA Board of Directors (2006-2009).

Jesse Morse Subject Matter Expert
Jesse has been involved with metrology and test equipment for 45 years, most of which was at Fluke Corporation where he enjoyed roles as Calibration Lab Manager, Marketing Manager of Precision Measurement equipment, and as General Manager of Fluke’s network of US calibration laboratories. Jesse complements his USAF Metrological education with degrees in both Marketing, and in Management.
During his career, Jesse developed and taught calibration related courses and has taught various marketing, economics, and management courses on a college level. Jesse is a certified Zinger Miller Leadership Course instructor.
Jesse is co-author of Fluke’s “Calibration: Philosophy in Practice” book, the “Z540-1 Handbook”, and has authored many magazine articles and calibration related seminars. He provided input to the current ISO/IEC 17025 standard through a special working group within NCSL International (NCSLI). He is past Chairman of the ANSI accredited NCSLI “Standards Writing Committee” where for six years he led the effort to develop the next generation of standards affecting calibration labs in the USA.
Now, retired from Fluke after 40 years, Jesse remains involved with the metrological community as a vice president on the NCSLI board of directors. He is now in pursuit of a new career dedicated to writing about measurement science, for which he has a passion, and teaching it to a new generation of up and coming measurement professionals.
Jesse is the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Measurement Science Conference “Woodington Award.”

Kirk Gaburo Instructional Desiger/Developer/Technologist
Kirk has deployed hundreds of software solutions in e-learning, learning management, certification testing and web communications. His project responsibilities have encompassed requirements analysis, costing, budgeting, project management, design, development, programming, quality testing, deployment and support. Kirk's solutions have served a diverse set of industries including insurance, accounting, financial, real estate, legal, medical, manufacturing, aviation, automotive and information technology. Past employers and clients include Thompson Prometric, Sylvan Learning, Drake Training, Control Data, McGladrey & Pullen, Mass Mutual, American Express, Proctor & Gamble, Motorola and United Air Lines.
As a consultant to McGladrey & Pullen, Kirk created a Learning Management System for use with a proprietary accounting curriculum which contained over fifty instructional modules. The LMS controlled learner sequencing through the curriculum based on testing outcomes at the module level. Certificates of completion were generated upon successful completion of a module. A centralized recordkeeping and reporting system provided management with reports on learner progress.
As an employee of Thomson Prometric, Kirk lead a multi-million dollar initiative to create the testing industry's first complete on-line testing certification system. The system offers the ability to author and deliver tests, to register test candidates and to provide comprehensive reporting to test sponsors. The system delivers medium-stakes certification testing on a global basis for Fortune 100 clients.
